Job Position: Tax Associate

We are currently seeking a dedicated Tax Associate to join our team. This role primarily focuses on managing and preparing individual tax returns with an interest in continued growth and career development in the sector.

Responsibilities:

• Organizing and maintaining client tax files.

• Scanning, uploading, and tracking important tax documents.

• Providing tax prep support as required.

• Monitoring workflow and ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.

• Accurate data entry and support in filing tax returns.

• Communicating with various clients, vendors, and internal staff.

• Resolving any issues with our tax software, as well as other software related problems.

• Tracking professional CPE and other licensure records.

• Assisting with personal tasks on behalf of the owner as required.

Qualifications: • Experience in tax preparation, ideally outside an H& R Block environment. • Enrolled Agent status is a bonus, but CPA qualification would be highly beneficial. • Candidates striving to become a CPA, and looking for a position that allows for growth, are highly encouraged to apply. • Familiarity with ProSeries would be advantageous but not mandatory.

Candidates should ideally have strong written and verbal communication skills and an aptitude for problem-solving. Attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and a customer-centric focus are all key attributes for this role.
