Description of Job
This position independently performs a range of tasks related to maintaining building interiors and furnishings in Capitol Complex managed facilities (https://dca.colorado.gov/) . Assignments may include keeping exterior walkways clear of debris and snow.
A summary of the duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Custodian/Housekeeping Services – Office and common area cleaning including trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, window cleaning, multi-surface cleaning, brass cleaning and polishing, hard-surface floor cleaning and recycling. Restrooms cleaning including trash removal, fixtures, stocking supplies, sweeping and mopping.
Emergency response and other duties as assigned - Position may be called upon for additional duties that may include snow removal, emergency response and assistance (such as a flooded floor), inventory counts, meetings, and assisting their trades with various projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Only:
At least six months of experience in custodian/janitorial work.
OR
Education and Experience:
At least six months of experience in custodian/janitorial work.
The exceptional candidate will possess:
- Previous State Service related to the work assigned to the position
Conditions of Employment:
A pre-employment criminal background check will be conducted as part of the selection process.
May need to be available for other shifts or emergencies.
Shift Work: Must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift
Comparative Analysis Process The comparative analysis process for this position may consist of a structured application review, an online assessment and a structured interview.
