Work Environment:
This position is Full-time and is Hybrid (Remote/Home Office w/requirement to report to Work location per business needs).
Office hours are typically Mon-Fri, 8 am-5 pm
Extended hours during the evening or the weekend may be required by business needs
A Remote (Home) office is required

Up to 10% travel required within the State of Colorado , and 5% travel out of state.

Position/Environment Summary:
Colorado’s School Health Services Program, also known as the School Medicaid Program, allows participating districts and Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) to access federal Medicaid funds for services they provide to Medicaid-enrolled children according to an Individualized Education Program (IEP), Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) or other plan of care. This program improves Districts’ and BOCES’ ability to provide additional or enhanced health and/or health-related services for all students through reimbursement dollars.
The School Health Services Medicaid Coordinator supports the delivery of the School Health Services Program (School Medicaid) through the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems and supports. The consultant provides guidance, technical assistance, and training to districts and BOCES participating in the School Health Services Program (School Medicaid) in coordination with the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF).
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with HCPF to create and update program guidelines.
Review, interpret, and implement policy changes when necessary.
Improve and maximize utilization of the program by conducting comprehensive reviews of Informed Parental Consents and Local Services Plans.
Coordinate with HCPF to provide support to program coordinators and team members.
Review and revise Local Services Plan guidelines and procedures as needed.
Maintain a current copy of the Local Services Plan for all participating districts.
Review and evaluate Local Services Plans submitted by districts or BOCES to ensure that the plan meets Colorado legislative requirements.
Assist local program participants with the development, coordination and/or revisions of the Local Services Plan.
Support district/BOCES Community Advisory Committees and program coordinators by reviewing the Local Services Plan development and providing guidance and technical assistance with processes.
Conduct annual reviews of internal systems related to the submission, revision and annual reporting of Local Services Plans.
Submit Reimbursement Spending Reports to HCPF annually.
Assist local program participants with submission of program Reimbursement Spending Reports.
Collect and report participating programs’ yearly expenditures to HCPF and the individual participating districts/BOCES.
Compile and analyze information from the Reimbursement Spending Report to CDE as reported by districts and BOCES to evaluate the implementation of Local Services Plans and their outcomes.
Collaborate with HCPF to support training needs related to all components of the School Health Services program, including Local Services Plans, reimbursement spending reports, parental consent, Random Moment-in-Time Studies, Medicaid Administrative Claiming, and provider qualifications.
Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule, manage and oversee program activities and assure districts and BOCES are supported and accountable to the activities plan outlined in the participant’s Local Services Plan.
Manage budgets, vendor contracts, purchases, and monthly financial reporting.
Incorporate feedback from program participants to develop, implement, and improve program tools and systems to reduce the administrative burden on program participants.
Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Preferred virtual and in-person presentation experience with a basic understanding of adult learning theory
Conditions of Employment (Required):
Must be willing and able to submit to the pre-screening process and pass a background check.
Available to present in-person and virtually during all Annual Trainings, Mid-Year Trainings, and Stakeholder meetings.
Ability to travel throughout Colorado and out-of-state ( Up to 10% travel required within the State of Colorado, and 5% travel out of state)
