Description

MAIN FUNCTION: Supervision and performance of cardiac testing including Treadmill Exercise Stress Tests, Nuclear Exercise Stress Tests, Pharmacologic Stress Tests, Echo stress tests and Coronary CTAs. Proficient in evaluating EKG’s pre, intra and post. Maintains strong dysrhythmia scope of knowledge and can identify abnormalities and changes in EKGs. Is responsible for managing cardiac testing patients before, during and post procedure.

Requirements:

• State of CT licensed RN

• BSN preferred

• 5-7 years Nursing experience with 3- 5 years of acute cardiac experience

• ACLS certification required

• Competencies in identifying cardiac arrhythmias, administering cardiac medications, and assessment of chest pain

• Previous stress testing experience preferred

• Extensive Dysrhythmia training required

• Experience starting, using, and maintaining IVs required
