Griffin Health Diagnostic Imaging Assistant, Per Diem in Derby, Connecticut

Description

MAIN FUNCTION: The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant position will provide a variety of functions including registration, front end office operations, manage outpatient schedules and precerts, copay collection, and provide clinical assistance in the Center to the technical and Physician staff. This staff member will support daily operations to the MRI, CT, X-Ray, Ultrasound, and the Lab areas.

EDUCATION: High school graduate. Preferred training in word processing/data entry/computer operation.

SCHEDULE: Per diem

EXPERIENCE:Medical Office Experience Required Medical Terminology requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office required Copay collection experience required 1-3 years Phlebotomy experience required, 2-4 yearsphlebotomy certification preferred1-3 years EKG experience required Ability to function under pressure of time demandsPosition requires eye-hand and gross body coordination skills; Extensive walking expected

Position requires the ability to concentrate on details in spite of interruptions and attend to tasks for more than 30 minutes at a time. Individuals must be able to understand and relate theories behind several related concepts and remember multiple tasks given over long periods of time.
