Griffin Health Senior Systems Analyst - Full Time in Derby, Connecticut
Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Systems Analyst is an IT professional that is primarily responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing and maintaining information systems. The analyst works closely with the departments in the organization, as well as other IT professionals such as interface analysts and developers, and outside vendors.
RESPONSIBILITIESSeek out ways to improve on the organization’s processes, design systems to implement these changes, and train and motivate others to use these systems.
Supervisor the upgrade of existing systems computer systems or the installation of new systems.
Responsible for defining/analyzing system problems, designing and testing standards and solutions, and implementing computer system requirements.
Provides support for software applications and project teams in recommending, designing, and implementing new solutions regarding the IT environment.
Responsible for basic understanding of interfaces and work with interface analyst(s) to design workflow to optimize department efficiencies.
Business partner to multiple departments, financial and clinical, including Billing/Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Registration, Radiology, HIM, Scheduling, Materials Management.
Manages multiple projects and tasks simultaneously for several hospital departments.
Ability to perform some basic report writing and collaborate with developers for more complex requests.
On call support for system issues is a requirement.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor degree
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
At least five years of experience.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
Ability to independently plan, organize, develop, prioritize and execute decisions
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Presents as detail oriented with strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem solving.
