Overview

AMERISAFE is seeking a detail-oriented, productivity driven professional to add to our “Excellence Team” based in DeRidder, LA. In this position, you will provide professional, courteous service to employers, injured workers and associates. The trainee will achieve training goals to demonstrate proficiency in all functions of the team to include: claims receptionist, first report of injury, mail, employer information packets and claim files.

Qualifications

• Flexibility with schedule rotation, including 6 am to 3 pm, 8 am to 5 pm, and 10 am to 7 pm as well as rotating lunch schedules

• High School Diploma or equivalent formal education

• Ability to compose short written responses using basic rules of grammar and correct spelling

• Clear and concise oral communication

• Professional comportment with a strong sense of customer service

• Experience in a customer service, call center, or clerical/office assistant position is preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency in the use of all applications utilized by the team

• Deliver excellent customer service to customers and associates

• Project a positive and professional image when interacting with all Amerisafe personnel and customers

• Complete all tasks in accordance with established Sarbanes Oxley Work Flows

• Provide assistance to team members as needed to ensure team goals and objectives are met

• Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and guidelines of Amerisafe and of the Claims Department

• Attend training classes, workshops, and seminars as directed

• Maintain confidentiality at all times in accordance with company policy

• Performance of additional duties may be required as directed by the supervisor

• Punctuality, attendance and team participation are essential functions of the job
