Description

We are in search of a Financial Director to join our client's team in DES MOINES, Iowa. The role involves crucial financial responsibilities in a non-profit organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining financial records, developing budgets, assisting with grant funding, and producing financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial records for the organization

• Oversee the management of payroll activities and budget analysis

• Manage banking activities of the organization

• Report to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors

• Ensure the financial integrity of the organization is maintained

• Develop annual budgets for the organization

• Assist with grant funding processes and ensure accurate accounting

• Produce detailed and accurate financial statements regularly

• Uphold all financial policies and procedures of the organization

• Collaborate with various teams to ensure financial transparency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• The applicant must possess strong knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Proven experience in managing a team is required.

• The candidate should have experience in grant accounting.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

• The candidate must possess strong organizational and time management skills.

• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.

• The applicant must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required.

• The candidate should have a strong understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.

• Professional certification such as CPA or MBA preferred
