Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

Operate sit-down forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, and move products. Utilize RF Scanner, load and unload trailers, and assist with inbound receiving.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse space

Essential Skills

  • Experience with forklift operation

  • Knowledge of inventory management

  • Experience with RF Scanner

  • Skill in material handling

  • Ability to operate pallet jack

  • Experience with shipping and receiving

  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs on occasion

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • General labor experience

  • Packing and shipping skills

Work Environment

1st shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday (overtime as needed). The warehouse is very clean and orderly, though it is an older building. New LED lighting is being installed, and remodeling of breakroom and common areas is underway. The facility stores agricultural products, requiring extreme care during transfers. Safety is the top priority. The team consists of 4-6 forklift operators, 2 management personnel, and 2 office staff.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50
