QuickVisit Remote Licensed Therapist (LCSW or LMFT) in Des Moines, Iowa
Are you a Mental Health Therapist interested in working remotely serving rural communities in Iowa? At QuickVisit, we are seeking to grow our behavioral health program and bring licensed counselors onto our team! We are offering tele-psychiatry care in conjunction with services provided in our urgent care clinics. You will work in conjunction with our scheduling team as well as our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners.
You will perform evaluations and assessments virtually for patients from the age of five through adulthood. You may be working with patients who may have the following symptoms/ previous diagnosis: Depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit disorders, grief disorders, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, mood disorders, substance abuse and personality disorders. Though this is a general list, it is not all encompassing.
You will be expected to conduct one new patient evaluation every hour and to conduct follow-up’s in 30-minute increments. The therapist demonstrates sound clinical judgment, professional communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and responsible for professional development and competency validation.
This is a part-time or PRN position.

Minimum Qualifications:
Fully licensed counselor – LCSW or LMFT or LPC
Reliable internet connection
Licensed in Iowa (willingness to obtain Texas licensure)
Must reside in the state of Iowa
1 year of experience preferred
Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and family counseling sessions to address patients' mental health concerns, virtually in patients ages 6+
Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
Collaborate with PMHNP on treatment plans
Provide crisis intervention services to patients experiencing acute mental health crises
Conduct patient assessments to gather information about their background, symptoms, and treatment history
Provide therapy for a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week on set scheduled days
A desire to facilitate client growth through a team approach, working with other care providers.
A desire to perform and develop counseling/therapeutic expertise in individual, family, and group therapy.
Stay up-to-date with the latest research in the field of behavioral health and apply evidence-based practices in therapy sessions
Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records of patient progress and treatment outcomes using the EMR platform
Follow all state and federal laws surrounding mental health treatment
Assess patients virtually for those who have a valid mental health complaint
Direct aftercare and discharge planning
Maintain appropriate state licensure(s)
Act in accordance with the policies, procedures, and standards of the Facility including all relevant regulations of RHC and State Regulations
Performs a thorough psychiatric evaluation, medical history, and physical examination in compliance with all relevant standards
Attend all Behavioral Health Team meetings and/or other appointments requested by QuickVisit to discuss the coordination of patient care across departments and to review patient progress toward stated goals and objectives of treatment
