We are looking for a hands-on engineering leader with a passion for solving difficult software engineering problems and expertise in proactive, continuous, and end-to-end application performance testing and monitoring for desktop based three tier applications and modern browser-based applications. Responsibilities

Responsibilities

As a software engineering manager you will drive several customer experience improvement programs by continuously improving the test strategy & related processes for the Oracle Health Millennium product suite and establishing the highest standards of performance, reliability and stability. Key responsibilities include:

  • Grow and lead engineering teams across the US to deliver critical self-service performance engineering platform testing services and components for the Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure organization 

  • Lead projects that span multiple Oracle Health products

  • Provide technical direction and audit design decisions of their team 

  • Cultivate best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules 

  • Managing obsolescence and developing a forward looking vision

  • Drive operational excellence for their team's areas of responsibility 

  • Collaborate with other team leaders on developing and presenting product roadmaps 

  • Demonstrable success mentoring and growing junior engineers to senior levels

  • Align different organizations on test strategy improvements by closely working with the org leaders and stakeholders.

  • Own all testing tools and processes in OHAI, ensures high availability of tools & environments to the product teams and enables test teams to achieve zero escape ratio.

  • Define meaningful metrics to measure customer experience and product performance, implement the pipeline to gather the metrics and formulate programs to track & monitor the metrics.

Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of experience with 3+ years of experience developing, delivering, and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems and at least 3 years managing engineering teams

  • Strong knowledge of performance engineering for desktop and web applications

  • Development experience with C#, C++, Java, React, HTML, REST Services

  • Strong understanding of database, Linux, and Citrix system performance data analysis

  • Experience troubleshooting performance, stability, and scalability issues impacting large scale service architecture and application stacks.

  • Hands on experience with observability tools, alerts, and metrics

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects in a fast-paced and mutli-stakeholder environments

  • Proven ability to manage change  

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with OCI or other cloud platforms

  • Experience with statistical analysis

  • Previous experience with Oracle Health EHR system

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $116,000 to $189,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
