As the Advanced Chemical Engineer for Gasoline Technologies, you will provide technical support for a range of UOP technologies including the Platforming and Isomerization processes. While the role frequently collaborates with other UOP departments, the focus is on customer interactions to help optimize, troubleshoot, and startup UOP technologies world-wide as well as enhance and improve our technologies through development and innovation.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

The annual base salary range for this position is $111,300 - $139,200. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Specialist provides technical support for a range of UOP technologies including NHT, CCR Platforming, Fixed Bed Platforming, Penex, Butamer, ParIsom and other light fuels process technology.

  • The Specialists supports both external (license/operating companies, engineering procurement and construction (EPC) contractors, vendors, and consultants) and internal (Field Services, CSO, R&D, Engineering, and Business) customers.

  • Primary accountabilities are to complete the transfer of our technology to deliver to our customers' UOP-licensed or UOP designed units that operate optimally, profitably, and safely in technology and product delivery projects.

  • Deliver value added digital and other services to enable that customers to operate with improved reliability and enhanced profitability.

  • Holds regular interaction with external customer and with other UOP personnel involved in these projects and services.

  • Collaborates and supports all other UOP departments involved with technology and service delivery including R&D, Sales/Sales Support, and Engineering.

  • Actively participates in NPI and BTI projects.

  • Champions change and improvements in the technologies and services supported.

  • Participates in customer meetings, engineering review meetings including design basis, PFD, P&ID, MFD, Plot Plans, HAZOP, Model Reviews and others.

  • Conducts on-site commercial unit audits.

  • Prepares and updates general operating manuals, process technology manuals, and training materials.

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.

  • 8+ years of relevant technical experience including UOP Field Operating Service, UOP Engineering, or equivalent industry. experience in process operations, technical service, or engineering design.

  • Experience with at least one of the following UOP Technologies (Platforming, Isomerization, Oleflex, Aromatics, Hydroprocessing) is preferred.
