Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in DES PLAINES, Illinois, 60018-2605, United States. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be instrumental in General Ledger management, Cost Accounting, and Inventory Management. You will also support Budgeting/Forecasting processes within our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

• Monitor and analyze production costs, including materials, labor, and overhead, to ensure accurate product costing.

• Oversee inventory accounting, including cycle counts, adjustments, and valuation.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations.

• Coordinate with the Controller and provide necessary documentation and explanations during audits.

• Assist in the monitoring of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

• Work with the Controller and IT team to enhance financial systems and processes.

• Use Ceridian software for processing payroll, including calculating wages, managing deductions, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.

• Perform month-end close activities, including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and journal entries.

• Use Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks. Requirements • Possess at least 5 years of experience in a Sr. Accountant role or similar position.

• Demonstrable expertise in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Proven experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Experience in Month End Close and Month-end Close Activities.

• Familiarity with financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.

• Ability to perform Annual Standard Cost calculations and analysis.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.

• Professional certification such as CPA is preferred.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, statutes, and regulations related to accounting and taxation is required.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
