We have an exciting Analytics Governance Analyst role availablein our Analytics Center of Excellence - the power hub of analytics for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM)! About the Role The role is responsible for facilitating core analytics governance functions and establishing capabilities to maintain and promote analytics governance maturity and support of enterprise priorities. Facilitates and prioritizes analytics governance initiatives and oversees projects and tasks to completion by collaborating with internal business stakeholders and subject matter experts. Develops and maintains policies, processes, standards, and communication and coordination with Analytics Governance members; responsible for researching and analyzing analytics-related issues, gathering information, and evaluating options and recommendations for resolution based on business implications and documenting results within analytics glossaries. Leads focused efforts with business segment liaisons / analytics SMEs to facilitate analytics governance activities including building analytical asset inventory, review of derived measures and analytical methodologies, and identification of analytics assets, tools, models, and reports. Partners with business and Information Technology to establish and translate analytics standards and thresholds into business value. Supports processes and integration of analytics strategy and data governance while ensuring cross functional alignment on business analytics. In this Analytics Governance Analyst opportunity, you will: * Lead research, analysis, identification, and evaluation of analytics issues from assigned problems to evaluate existing and potential trends and issues. Work with business SMEs to conduct impact/root cause/comparative analysis for incoming requests; initiate problem-solving in collaboration with business SMEs. * Document, inventory, and build queries for analytical assets. Facilitate the process of collecting and outlining information related to the oversight of enterprise data and analytics capabilities including derived data/metrics, reports, and models. Actively oversee which analytics tools are being used across enterprise, maintain tools inventory and userbase (user groups), and facilitate the collection of data around tool utilization and value across business segments. * Lead and facilitate meetings and working sessions with analytics SMEs (healthcare analysts and senior healthcare analysts). Act as liaison between corporate business areas and participate in group or committee discussions. * Investigate, review, recommend, communicate, and implement solutions which identify problems/root cause of issues in collaboration with analytics SMEs. Identify and propagate needs for new Analytics Governance processes, policies, and standards. Assist with creating and communicating analytics policies and standards across the enterprise. * Manage and monitor multiple projects simultaneously. Possess and maintain an extensive comprehensive knowledge of BCBSM business, products, programs (including provider data, networks, etc.), corporate organizational structure (including functional responsibilities), and basic research principles/methodologies to effectively lead analytics governance projects from issue identification through resolution. * Independently develop and plan reports, papers, and/or other materials in a clear and concise manner. Develop lines of communication to management and create appropriate reports summarizing data to enable to make sound business decisions. Propagate communication from leadership to subdomain committees. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Health Care, Information Systems, Statistics or other related field is required. Master's Degree in related field preferred. * Six (6) or more years of related experience, typically in two (2) subject areas (e.g., financial analysis, planning, health care economic
