Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in advertising, marketing or a related role

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, English, or a related field

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in brand strategy or a strategy-related role

  • Demonstrated skills in brand building and driving effective communications

  • Demonstrated ability to think both analytically and conceptually

  • Strong writing skills for succinct, thought-provoking strategies and briefs

  • Strong ability to work independently and collaborate with cross functional teams

Job Summary

As a Brand Strategist, you'll be the provocateur of compelling creative ideas. Your insatiable curiosity and deep empathy for people will fuel how Rocket shows up in the world. With a determination at finding and distilling the most meaningful human and cultural truths, you'll exercise both left and right brain thinking to turn business objectives into actionable inspiration. Your success is measured by your influence in the quality and consistency of creative executions.

Responsibilities

Find the truth

Brand Strategists are investigators, anthropologists, psychologists and catalysts for unlocking creative imagination.

  • Live and breathe human empathy and compassion into the brand

  • Understand and interpret various data and research learnings

  • Mine for insights to uncover the inner nature of people or situations

  • Drive connections to the brand’s purpose

  • A curious practitioner of cultural trends and crazes

Share the truth

The Brand Strategist is a skilled communicator and connector of truths, equally comfortable setting the foundation for original thinking as they are contributing to breakthrough concepting.

  • Ability to write concise, provocative creative brief writing

  • Deliver clear, persuasive presentations

  • A strong facilitator of creative ideation sessions

  • A brand enthusiast who circulates award-winning work

Activate the Truth

The mindful force behind the work acting as a vocal advocate for the communities we serve and the archetype of the brand. Willing to defend truth, when needed.

  • Influence creative ideas toward excellence
