As a Payment Resolution Analyst, you’ll review funds for resolution transactions that require advanced research and clarification. You’ll work with internal and external partners to determine accurate cash transactions and processing, while maintaining the integrity of our secure reconciliations, compliance requirements, and fraud prevention processes.

About the Role

  • Research and determine appropriate action for loan maintenance to include reversals, reapplications, and disbursements to ensure compliance with investor and regulatory requirements

  • Determine required action to resolve aging suspense items according to guidelines

  • Process returned payments/non-sufficient funds transactions and complete loan level reversals to balance bank accounts

  • Maintain an understanding of team and business area processes to identify impacts of the team’s work

  • Identify patterns and trends for areas of opportunity for the team to streamline operations

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field

  • Proficient knowledge of banking and business cash flow

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, including formulas, filtering, and organizing data

  • Financial mathematical skills, including basic loan amortization and per diem calculations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field

  • 1 year of experience in mortgage servicing

  • Knowledge of mortgage servicing platforms

  • Proficient knowledge of Excel, including vertical lookups and pivot tables

  • Knowledge of loan modification, short sales, and post sales, Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF), and partial claims
