As a Compliance Monitoring Intern, you'll support our team to ensure the quality of loans by checking automated rules, data sets, and reviewing loans before and after they close. You'll learn about compliance with various guidelines and gain hands-on experience in identifying risks, communicating your findings, and building relationships across different business areas.

About the Role:

  • Create and test automated rules to identify risks

  • Collect and present data to highlight risks

  • Review loan files to ensure information is accurate and complete

  • Make sure loan files follow regulatory and investor guidelines

  • Conduct quality audits to identify and monitor risk factors

  • Clearly communicate your findings in writing and verbally

  • Use quality monitoring software accurately

  • Meet review timelines and maintain high-quality standards

  • Develop expertise in loan origination and servicing quality

  • Build relationships with internal and external business areas

About You:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain quality

  • Attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Excel

Preferred Requirements:

  • Familiarity with regulatory, investor, insurer, and agency guidelines

  • Knowledge of SQL or Python

  • Prior experience in servicing or mortgage knowledge
