Job Description SummaryAmerican Axle & Manufacturing, Inc. is a world leader in the manufacturer, engineering, validation and design of driveline systems, chassis systems and forged products for trucks, buses, sport utility vehicles and passenger cars.

Currently, this Tier 1 automotive components supplier needs a talented student to fill the role of an HR College Co-Op in their Corporate Human Resources Department in Detroit MI.

Job Description Primary: - Support annual compensation processes; merit, bonus, benchmarking and surveys - Track and participate in annual and ad hoc compensation or policy surveys - Perform data audits and coordinate with local HR teams for resolution on data issues - Create mail merge letters for employee communications - Perform other administrative duties such as data entry, tracking, review, presentations, etc.

Secondary: - Support the corporate HR monthly expense, forecast and accrual activities - Support with international assignment activities, expense reports, invoices and check requests - Coordinate with global travel provider for new assignees or relocations - Support travel related inquiries, research issues and communicate with associates

Other: - Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education - Must be currently enrolled in a college or university in an undergraduate or graduate program in Human Resources or Business Administration - Graduation Date of December 2025 or later preferred; GPA of 3.0 or above preferred - Must be available to work a minimum of 30 hours a week - Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel-Pivot Tables, Lookups, if/then statements, mail merge PowerPoint-Updates for presentations Word/Outlook - Must maintain strict confidentiality - Must be able to function well independently, but also be a team player - Detail oriented, have excellent organizational skills and a can-do mindset - Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills - Willing to take on new projects on an as-needed basis About American Axle & Manufacturing As a leading global Tier 1 Automotive and Mobility Supplier, AAM (NYSE: AXL) designs, engineers and manufactures Driveline and Metal Forming technologies to support electric, hybrid and internal combustion vehicles.
