Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a well-rounded Maintenance Technician with a strong mechanical and electrical experience to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, your primary role will be to ensure that our plant and machinery are well-maintained and running efficiently. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a mix of proactive maintenance and reactive repairs. You will work closely with our other two technicians to troubleshoot and repair any breakdowns as they occur. We operate in a team environment, and we value cooperation and teamwork to keep our production running smoothly. The role requires experience with pumps, motors, conveyors, blue print reading, and overall mechanical and electrical maintenance/troubleshooting.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Detroit, Michigan.

Work Environment

Our work environment is a standard manufacturing setting where we produce small plastic/foam pellets for internal and external customers, primarily in the automotive and aerospace industries. We maintain a clean and organized facility, with a climate control system to ensure comfort. Our maintenance team is a close-knit group of professionals who value training, teamwork, and getting the job done right. We have a laid-back culture with a focus on technical ability and fundamentals. We provide uniforms, and require safety glasses, ear protection, and steel toe boots. Candidates are expected to have their own standard maintenance tools. The shift options are Days (6:00 am - 3:00 pm), Afternoons (3:00 pm – 11:00 pm), or Nights (10:00 pm - 7:00 am), Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays. Overtime opportunities are available for those interested.
