The Federal Systems Technology department of the USFGMD is responsible for service supporting a charter of implementing and integrating complex systems sold worldwide to the US Federal Government. As a USFGMD Onsite Technical System Manager, you will be exposed to a wide variety of communications requirements in both the Presale and Post Sale phases of a project. These applications span the entire breadth of the US Federal Government throughout the world.
The Onsite Technical System Manager MUST be located within a 1 hour commutable distance to Detroit, Michigan.Job Description
Responsibilities include everyday maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and customer training on Motorola Land Mobile Radio Products.This equipment is state of the art Astro 25 trunking.
Verbalize and communicate concepts, recommendations and strategies to the customers and within the Motorola Solutions organization.
Deliver a detailed understanding of Motorola systems permitting the individual to assist in the design, troubleshooting and maintenance of Motorola's product lines.
Understand Motorola RSS/CPS software and how toprogram subscribers and infrastructure equipment.
Deliver working knowledge with Infrastructure Technologies to include Motorola Astro 25 cores, MCC console line and 3rd party networking equipment.
Responsibilities include optimization and support of complex communication systems.
Provide technical support of specialized systems and product applications including troubleshooting of software driven electronics, provisioning of communication system infrastructure and performance optimization of RF and Broadband architecture including, but not limited to, legacy analog, advanced digital P25 and data infrastructure.
Program, configure, optimize, test and document complex communications systems.
Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishments.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Sitting for or current holder of CompTIA Security Plus certification.
The Onsite Technical System Manager MUST be located within a 1 hour commutable distance to Detroit, Michigan.
Must have very strong knowledge of wired communications systems, such as local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN), must be proficient in computer network installation, configuration and maintenance systems to include cabling, routers, switches, firewalls and bridges.
Strong networking skills required
Understanding of IA systems and group policies in a network administrative position.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products and Motorola Radio Service Software products.
Must have excellent communications skills and always present a professional
