JOB SUMMARY/ACCOUNTABILITY:

The Training Coordinator is responsible for the development and maintenance of the professional development system providing consistent and uniform standards for the early childhood education (ECE) program and guiding implementation of high-quality services for all Birth to Five children. Duties include collaborating with content managers, staff, and HR to determine training needs, implement and track training programs, evaluate the success of training and PD, and maintain a platform of training information.  

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITES:

Standardize training manuals, online learning modules, program presentations, and other professional development materials for use by program management which ensure the application of adult learning principles.

Create training schedules for all program departments, track and create reports on outcomes of all training, and maintain training records for the company.

Recommend training materials and methods, order and maintain in-house training equipment and facilities and manage the budget set for training.

Consult program management on the use of a variety of instructional techniques, such as formal training, coaching, or web-based programs.

Assist and consult program managers in the creation of virtual and recorded training, maintain system for viewing and tracking recorded or virtual training.

Ensure training availability for all program policies and procedures. Develop new hire training on program policies and procedures and use the best training methods for a specific purpose or audience.

Write and maintain policies and procedures for professional development within the Head Start program. 

Conduct surveys, interviews, or consultations to identify training needs to gather and evaluate information from employees and management on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training.

Attend seminars and meetings to learn new training methods and techniques and use the knowledge to prepare and coordinate future training sessions.

Market company training opportunities to employees and provide information on benefits to encourage participation.

Inform employees on scheduled training and track their progress.
