Research Assistant, Study Coordinator, Division of Research

Wayne State University is searching for an experiencedResearch Assistant, Study Coordinator, Division of Researchat its Detroit campus location.

Position Purpose:

To conduct research projects utilizing clinical skills specifically, creating/implementing recruitment and retention plans as well as ensuring data capture and study reports for onsite and community-based projects.

Essential Functions:

Coordinate clinical research studies across multi disciplines and multiple stakeholders to ensure the study meets the target metrics. This includes, but is not limited to, facilitating the recruitment of research participants in on-going and future research projects, developing, and implementing of research recruitment strategy plans, data capture, data entry, and source data forms creation. Preparation of study reports based on recruitment and study conduct for the PI and sponsor.

Enroll potential subjects, conduct study procedures, participant follow up, and maintenance per study protocol utilizing knowledge for all assigned research projects.

Enter data, extract, compile, and monitor study compliance, write Human Investigation Committee application, enter and track all clinical research metrics/data into Oncore (Clinical Trial Management System), REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture), and EREG (Electronic Regulatory Management System).

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Bachelor's degree in science is required

Experience: Intermediate (3 to 4 years job-related experience)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Technology Skills : Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and WSU Academica programs. REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture), OnCore, EREG (Electronic Regulatory Management System), Medical Record Systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in public health is preferred.

CITI (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative) training, GCP (Good Clinical Practice), HSR (Human Subject Research) etc.
