Responsibilities

The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for conducting comprehensive market research, analyzing salary data, and providing strategic guidance to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness in our compensation practices. Reporting to the Director of Compensation, the successful candidate will leverage their expertise in compensation analysis and proficiency in tools such as UKG, Aon, ERI and other survey platforms to drive informed decision-making and support organizational wide total rewards program initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the collection and analysis of compensation data from various sources, including external market surveys, benchmarking studies, and internal salary data.
  • Utilize advanced tools and methodologies to conduct in-depth analysis of compensation trends, competitive peer group positioning, and pay equity considerations.
  • Partner with senior business leaders to design and implement compensation programs, including base pay structures, incentive plans, and recognition programs, that support organizational objectives and foster employee engagement.
  • Conduct complex job evaluations and provide expert guidance on job and salary grading to ensure alignment with market trends and internal equity principles.
  • Collaborate with HR Directors and HR Business Partners to establish competitive salary ranges for new hires, promotions, and internal transfers, and provide recommendations for salary adjustments as needed.
  • Assist in the year-end salary, bonus and Long-Term Incentive Plan processes and reporting.
  • Perform Pay-Equity and Gender Pay-Gap analyses and remediation.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports, presentations, and summaries to communicate compensation analysis findings, insights, and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in compensation and provide leadership to drive continuous improvement and innovation in total rewards compensation strategies and processes.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations; specifically adhering to FLSA standards.
  • Partner with other HR Centers of Excellence with special projects and merger integrations.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to manage large data spreadsheets.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and sensitive matters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with advanced compensation survey platforms such as Aon and HRIS systems like UKG is highly desirable.

Required Minimum Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in compensation analysis required; with the financial services industry preferred.
