Insight Global Geotechnical Earthquake Engineer in Diamond Bar, California
Job Description
An employer is looking for a Geotechnical Earthquake Engineer in the Diamond Bar, CA area. The Geotechnical Engineer will be a part of a team working on projects including dams, levees, surface mining and reclamation, landfill design, expansions, and closures, brownfield redevelopments, infrastructure projects, landslides assessments and mitigations, along with conventional geotechnical engineering projects. The engineer will be involved in all project phases from proposal, project management and engineering, to client and design team interactions and eventual construction on programs related to seismic/earthquake engineering including liquefaction, deaggregation, seismic settlement, etc. They will prepare scopes and budgets for proposals, conduct field investigations, interact with clients, produce reports of engineering analysis as well as management of the support engineering, geology, and drafting staff depending on which level they are brought in at.

Skills and Requirements
Geotechnical PhD
1-12 years of experience within geotechnical engineering
Seismic/earthquake engineering experience
Numerical Modeling experience (e.g. Plaxis, FLAC, Sigma/W, SeepW, Quake/W)
Experience with report writing - Experience in California
EIT, PE, or GE depending on seniority
Knowledge of advanced seismic engineering (ASCE 7, Chapter 21, site specific response, time histories, matching and scaling, ARS) null
