New employees to the State will be paid biweekly. There are 26 biweekly pay periods in a year.

DESCRIPTION OF JOB:

About the Work Unit

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is responsible for operating and maintaining the Eisenhower Johnson Memorial Tunnel (EJMT), which traverses the Continental Divide, with Clear Creek County on the east and Summit County on the west. The Special Crew unit is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the tunnel s electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment.

About the Position

CDOT has two openings for Tunnel Facilities Trade Supervisors at EJMT in Dillon, CO. You will direct and implement plans and processes for efficient and safe tunnel operations, which includes overseeing electrical regulating and controlling equipment, fresh water and sewage systems, building heating and air conditioning systems, fire suppression systems, and tunnel ventilation systems. There is an opening for a supervisor of the D Crew and one for the E Crew.

Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Support and coordinate tunnel operations; provide support during emergency conditions and unique situations; assist in emergency response incidents.

Direct daily activities and coordinate operations with all tunnel personnel.

Review and approve work orders, reports, plans/utilization, and equipment inventories.

Oversee and review inspections, train employees, direct preventive and scheduled maintenance for assigned systems:

A Crew: Automotive Technology, Motors & Ventilation Maintenance, and HVAC Maintenance B Crew: Tunnel Maintenance, Structural Maintenance, and Roadway Maintenance C Crew: Fire Suppression System, Tunnel Drainage, and Plumbing Maintenance D Crew: Fire Alarm Panel, Electronics/VFD, and SCADA System E Crew: Electrical Maintenance, Emergency Generator Systems, and Boiler Systems Recommend changes to operations to increase maintenance efficiency and operational performance.

Supervise, train, and coach employees; prepare annual performance goals and conduct reviews; address personnel issues; approve timesheets and leave requests.

Maintain constant awareness of hazards and risks, with safety being at the forefront of all activities.

Maintain asset inventories, purchase equipment and supplies, and participates in the development of the overall EJMT budget.

Ensure contractors work ng on CDOT property follow all regulations and safety requirements.
