Team Submarine’s Submarine Program Offices are responsible for :
The acquisition of COLUMBIA Class Submarines and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) of the class. The program is a major defense acquisition program and is of significant political importance with Congress and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).
The acquisition of VIRGINIA Class Submarines and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E), Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E), and Fleet introduction of the U.S. Navy’s newest class of nuclear attack submarines. The program is a major defense acquisition program with a total life cycle cost of approximately $336B. Additionally, successful improvement of the Class' capabilities is of significant political importance with Congress and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).
The SSN(X) Office is responsible for the acquisition and design of the future fast attack submarine and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) of the future submarine. The future Attack Submarine will be designed to retain multi-mission capability and sustained combat presence in denied waters with a focus on greater speed, stealth, and horizontal payloads and salvo rates.
You must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their Team Submarine contract supporting the acquisition of submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.
Serco-NA is seeking motivated individuals to provide administrative related assistance to the Submarine/Maritime Industrial Base Directors in PEO SSBN by supporting senior personnel in their efforts related to support of the Martime Industrial Base (MIB). These individuals will assist in supporting the directorates of industrial base who oversee industrial workforce engagement, supply chain related issues within the industrial base, and promoting advance technology to the numerous suppliers within the SIB/MIB environment. MIB has been tasked to address the industry that supports the construction and maintenance of the nation’s submarines and other maritime ships. Each of these directorates operate remotely across the US and manage the efforts of several subject matter experts who are dispersed in various locations. You will be entrusted to assist in the management of calendars, contacts, travel, correspondence, action items and a host of other administrative functions in a very fast paced and dynamic environment. This position will be a hybrid position that is partially remote which will add to the challenge of the position, but ideally within the 100 miles of the Washington Naval Yard as MIB headquarters is in this area. Your schedule and percent remote will be driven by the director you are assigned to assist.
In this role, you will provide administrative support in various capacities, including but not limited to:
Office Management : Organize and manage office operations and procedures, including scheduling, correspondence, filing, and data entry to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
Document Preparation : Prepare, proofread, and edit documents, presentations, and reports to support business processes and project objectives.
Meeting Coordination : Schedule and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking action items to ensure effective communication and follow-up.
Travel and Expense Management : Arrange travel logistics and process travel expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Communication Support : Act as a point of contact for internal and external communications, including handling inquiries, directing calls, and distributing correspondence.
Project Assistance : Provide administrative support to various projects, including maintaining project documentation, tracking progress, and assisting with project-related tasks as needed.
Record Keeping : Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality, in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Supplies Management : Manage office supplies inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary materials and placing orders as needed. This function will depend upon if you are not fully remote.
Qualifications
To be sucessful in this role, you will have:
High School Diploma/GED is required with a minimum of two years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a government or defense-related environment.
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance.
Travel may be required up to 10%
Experience in supporting Navy or DoD-related programs.
Familiarity with government contracting processes.
Knowledge of document management systems.
Active NMCI account and CAC (Common Access Card) are a plus.

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $81,153.39 to $131,873.27; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
