US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System Extended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Windows Active Directory & DNS services, ensuring seamless authentication and domain name resolution across the network.

  • Administer Dell IDPA DP 4400 for efficient data protection and backup solutions, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery preparedness.

  • Implement and manage Red Hat Certificate Services (RDCS) for secure authentication and encryption services within the network infrastructure.

  • Configure and support RHEL 8 & 9 servers, including installation, patching, and troubleshooting to ensure system stability and security.

  • Utilize Puppet for configuration management, automating routine tasks and maintaining consistency across servers and applications.

  • Administer RSA Authentication Manager Enterprise for secure access control and multi-factor authentication mechanisms.

  • Manage Configuration Manager and WSUS for Windows patch management, ensuring timely updates and compliance with security standards.

  • Maintain and optimize MS SQL2019 databases, including performance tuning, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.

  • Administer Windows Server 2019 environments, including Active Directory services, Group Policy management, and server virtualization.

  • Oversee VMware Vcenter and VMware ESXi environments, including virtual machine provisioning, performance monitoring, and resource allocation.

  • Perform Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) assessments and implement necessary configurations to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices across the network infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions for complex technical challenges and business requirements.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and security threats to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation within the network environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years Systems Administration experience is required.

  • BA/BS degree, may substitute additional years of experience.

  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.

  • Strong experience and expertise in managing Windows Active Directory & DNS services, including domain controllers, group policies, and DNS configurations.

  • In-depth knowledge of VMware Vcenter and VMware ESXi, with hands-on experience in virtual machine management, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.

  • Experience in administering backup and data protection solutions, such as Dell IDPA DP 4400 or similar backup appliances.

  • Knowledge of MS SQL2019 databases, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and backup strategie

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience with the NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC).

  • Knowledge and experience with PKI certificate services.

  • Familiarity with RSA Authentication Manager Enterprise for implementing multi-factor authentication mechanisms and access control.

  • PowerShell scripting

  • Python Scripting

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)

  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server certification

  • Puppet Certified Professional (PCP)

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
