What You'll Do:

Join Serta Simmons Bedding as our Internal Audit Senior Auditor in Atlanta!

You'll collaborate closely with our Senior Manager and Compliance Manager to drive internal audit initiatives, acting as an agent of change and trusted advisor while cultivating strong relationships with management.

This pivotal role reports directly to the Compliance Manager, Internal Audit and will sit in the corporate office in Doraville, GA. This position will be hybrid based.

How You'll Do It:

  • Plan and organize project assignments effectively.

  • Document business processes using narrative descriptions or process maps, identifying risks and controls at both manual and application levels.

  • Develop comprehensive audit programs and manage time efficiently to meet audit objectives.

  • Conduct audit procedures in accordance with established audit programs and test plans.

  • Perform tests of controls and thoroughly document their effectiveness.

  • Provide recommendations to enhance processes and controls; discuss findings and suggestions with appropriate management levels during audits.

  • Prepare detailed audit reports and other relevant reporting deliverables.

  • Follow up with management to verify the implementation of action plans resulting from audit findings.

  • Analyze data for completeness, accuracy, and anomalies.

  • Assist external auditors with interim or year-end testing as required.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships within the department and with stakeholders.

  • Adhere strictly to the Code of Ethics, Internal Audit Standards and manuals, and corporate policies.

  • Foster relationships with key process owners to establish trust and collaboration as a valued business partner.

  • Support the internal Quality Assurance and Improvement Program to ensure compliance with The Institute of Internal Auditors' International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.

What You'll Bring:

  • 4+ years of relevant audit experience (internal and/or external).

  • Experience in Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance.

  • Strong professional judgment and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • High energy, intellectual curiosity, and strong work ethic.

  • Proficient in internal audit principles, financial processes, and risk management.

  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% within North America.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.

  • Professional certification (CPA or CIA).

  • Ability to work on-site in our Doraville HQ location in a hybrid capacity

Preferred:

  • Prior "Big Four" public accounting experience.

  • Multi-location experience in manufacturing.

  • Experience in a business undergoing significant change.

Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
