General Summary:

Existing remote employees and field-based employees are eligible to apply.

The Regional Programs Manager is accountable for implementing marketing strategies in defined market segments and channels. This position understands market segmentation and uses data-driven insight to customize program and service offerings to drive sales within target markets. The manager, growth programs is responsible for understanding business, market and employee benefit trends within the assigned segments and channels to identify program opportunities and develop appropriate responses.

This position is responsible for providing program support to the sales organization with accountability for developing sales support tools and materials that drive account acquisition and existing account sales. The manager, growth programs partners with internal stakeholders, vendor partners and the sales organization for the on-time execution of assigned projects that meet objectives. The position is responsible for developing metrics and measuring program effectiveness.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops, promotes and executes growth programs within assigned segments and channels that meet sales and business objectives

  • Designs and creates support materials that educate field and home office partners on program offerings.

  • Develops and maintains strong vendor partnerships to create promotional strategies and increase usage of program.

  • Interfaces and collaborates cross-functionally to design and implement programs

  • Develops, manages and tracks project plans and schedules

  • Conducts program forecasting and return on investment analysis

  • Tracks, measures and reports on key success metrics of marketing programs

  • Partners with advertising and branding to produce program support materials

  • May perform other duties as assigned

Job Specifications

  • A four-year degree in marketing, business or related field

  • Three to five years marketing experience

  • Track record of successfully managing multiple, concurrent projects and consistently delivering on time and within budget

  • Strong sense of urgency and outstanding time management skills

  • Extremely good follow through on details and action items

  • Strong external orientation with understanding of customer, market and distribution dynamics

  • Knowledge and understanding of market segmentation

  • Strong analytical skills and fluency in the development and use of metrics

  • Ability to work credibly with all levels of the sales organization

  • Innovative and assertive, with the ability to apply new methodologies, techniques and technology to marketing programs

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.

$63,500.00-$114,300.00

Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not.
