What Data Management and Governance contributes to Cardinal Health

The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics life-cycle in order to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. This function manages analytic data platforms, the access, design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling. Initial Master Data Domains will be Customer and Supplier with others on the horizon.

Data Management and Governance provides direction of data assets and is responsible for data strategy, quality, standards and service levels. Data management acquires, validates, standardizes, enriches, protects and publishes structured, third party and unstructured data for use by the business. Governance defines and implements policies, standards and metrics that ensure the effective and efficient use of trusted data and statistical models to support regulatory and business goals.

OptiFreight is seeking a motivated and passionate individual, who thrives in a changing environment, to join our Master Data Management team. This person will learn and execute Master Data maintenance and serve as an SME, along with others, across Master Data Domains for OptiFreight. Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update Master Data records across various systems

  • Perform regular audits and validations to ensure data integrity and quality

  • Identify and resolve data quality issues, including duplicates, inconsistencies, and missing data.

  • Maintain documentation for Master Data processes, policies, and standards

  • Provide training and support to users on Master Data processes and best practices

  • Troubleshoot issues related to Master Data Management and identify opportunities for improvement

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience, preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • Knowledge of various entity hierarchies and how they impact operations preferred

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of data quality management practices

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity

  • Identifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes action to resolve

  • Applies judgment within defined parameters

  • Receives general guidance and may receive more detailed instruction on new projects

  • Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy

Anticipated hourly range: $32.50 per hour - $46.40 per hour
