Job Description Summary:
As a Systems Engineer at Rocket Software, you are part of a global, fast-paced IT organization with a primary mission to provide world class service to software development labs and internal departments ensuring our employees can perform at the highest level. You will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance, support, and monitoring of complex systems in your area of responsibility. You will identify, analyze, and resolve system issues and report on deficiencies in configuration, process, and documentation as well as develop and recommend corrective actions. You will collaborate with senior members of the team to influence and make suggestions that aid in the designing of technical solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Perform day-to-day system administration and tasks for assigned systems. Work with both internal and external customers and vendors to resolves technical system problems in a timely manner with a primary focus on moderately complex problems.
Support development labs and other critical infrastructure which supports Rocket Software business units.
Provide timely problem resolution, incident management, and root cause analysis related to Windows and Linux systems as well as SaaS offerings such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.
Perform duties following all company standards regarding engagement, change management, and escalations.
Participated in special project and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
3-6 years of systems administration and operations experience in Windows Server, Linux, Enterprise Storage, collaboration tools active directory or network infrastructure
Minimum of 2 years experience supporting IT infrastructure operations in an enterprise environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and desire to support end users with issues of varying degrees of complexity
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues to resolution
Ability to collaborate with business partners across the organization and within IT
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Superior understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems.
Exceptional service orientation and customer focus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

The base salary range for this role is $94,235.86 - $117,794.93 /year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
