Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bilingual HR Generalist to join our team in Downey, CA. This position requires a proactive professional with strong interpersonal skills to manage a wide range of human resources functions, including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and training. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential to support a diverse workforce effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for HR-related inquiries, providing guidance and support to employees and management in both English and Spanish.

  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including job postings, candidate screenings, interviews, and new hire orientations.

  • Administer employee benefits programs, answer employee questions, and coordinate open enrollment.

  • Manage employee relations issues, conducting investigations and resolving conflicts professionally.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including preparing and updating policies and procedures.

  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops to support employee development and company initiatives.

  • Process payroll and ensure accuracy in timekeeping and attendance records.

  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system with confidentiality and accuracy.

  • Assist in creating and implementing HR initiatives that align with organizational goals and improve workplace culture.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • 3+ years of HR experience, with strong knowledge of HR policies and practices.

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required.

  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Comprehensive understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.

  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport across all levels of the organization.

  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or similar industry environment.

  • Knowledge of California-specific labor laws and regulations.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based position with occasional travel to other locations as needed.
