Actalent Test Engineer in Dublin, Ohio

Job Title: Test EngineerJob Description

The Test Engineer will collaborate with Test Technicians to design and develop equipment setups and test procedures. This role involves performing varied and complex assignments for major systems during testing, as well as developing test procedures and assisting in the evaluation of test equipment to ensure quality checks. The engineer will also prepare recommendations for testing and document procedures for product usage.

Responsibilities

  • Direct Test Technicians in daily activities, including job assignments and expectations, in coordination with the Lab Supervisor.

  • Collaborate with the design engineering group to ensure test procedures and data meet expectations.

  • Create Test Plans for customer equipment demonstrations.

  • Review test progress and evaluate results.

  • Conduct required presentations using test equipment during customer visits.

  • Perform test validations and Factory Witness Tests.

  • Calibrate instrumentation within the lab.

  • Continuously support engineering and support groups to provide outstanding final quality test products to internal and external clients.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent degree, preferably with a focus on thermal or fluid sciences.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in thermal systems testing and thermodynamics.

  • Experience with reading and interpreting industry test standards and product schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Labview.

Work Environment

The work environment includes working with advanced test equipment and instruments. The role involves collaborating closely with other engineering groups and supporting teams to deliver high-quality test products. The engineer will also participate in customer demonstrations and presentations, requiring strong communication and presentation skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00
