We are looking to bring on board a meticulous Supply Management Planner to be part of the John Deere Dubuque team! This position is a one-year contracted opportunity.

As a Supply Management Planner, you will primarily focus on maintaining daily communication with suppliers, optimizing logistics processes, and managing supplier performance. Your role will also include implementing material management systems and supporting Supply Management Specialists.

Responsibilities include:

• Handle day-to-day communication with suppliers regarding schedule releases.

• Analyze and determine optimal inventory levels and economic order quantities for purchased material.

• Ensure the implementation of efficient logistics processes and material management systems.

• Monitor supplier logistic performance and establish corrective actions to resolve short-term performance issues.

• Implement inventory plans using system parameters and material replenishment strategies to achieve material flow goals.

• Collaborate with Supply Management Specialist to manage low-to-medium complex commodities and supply base.

• Negotiate with suppliers to resolve any issues and improve performance.

• Handle logistics requirements for suppliers including containers, packaging methods, and parameters.

• Manage the delivery of purchased materials to support production plans, including recommending premium logistic alternatives when appropriate.

• Process suppliers' non-conformances and expedite corrective actions.

Requirements

Skillset we are seeking:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for managing and analyzing data

• Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing planning processes

• Familiarity with materials handling

• Ability to execute methods in shipping and managing of suppliers

• Understanding of commodities, logistics, and production processes would make you stand out
