CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Chamber of Commerce Executive Director in DUCHESNE, Utah

Chamber of Commerce Executive Director needed for Duchesne County.

Purpose: Lead and manage the Chamber of Commerce to achieve its goal of serving and supporting chamber businesses, encouraging economic growth in the community, and fostering business development through ongoing educational training.

Key Responsibilities:

Administration:

  • Serve as the Chamber's representative at conferences, seminars, and community events.
  • Attend and organize chamber meetings, board meetings, and business trainings.
  • Report to board of directors on chamber progress and implement suggestions.

Marketing/Public Relations:

  • Implement value-driven benefits to chamber businesses (radio ads, signage, business support).
  • Maintain and continue to develop a proactive and beneficial package of membership incentives.
  • Recruit and retain members through regular contact and beneficial membership incentives.
  • Plan and oversee events that promote the Chamber and support local businesses (luncheons, networking, etc.).
  • Organize educational workshops and seminars to meet the needs of local business owners.
  • Maintain active relationships with local governments and advocate for member businesses.
  • Maintain the Chamber's website and social media presence.
  • Maintain positive relationships businesses/government agencies and stay informed of legislation that will impact the business community.
  • Seek out and apply for grant funding to support chamber needs.

Financial:

  • Manage the annual budget and assists in the review of financial statements.
  • Approve expenditures within the budget and manage financial accounts.
  • Ensure all business licenses, inspections, and legal documents are current.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in Business, Business Management and/or Public Relations preferred.
  • Valid Utah Driver's License with access to their own vehicle.
  • Skills in modern office functions, state and federal employee laws, time management, and event management.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, public speaking skills, and bookkeeping knowledge.
  • Proficient in computer software, website maintenance, and effective communication.
  • Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups, and remain positive in challenging situations.
  • Flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends; occasional travel required.

Wage will be arranged with employer.
