Job Description

Position Pending Contract AwardProvides senior leadership and overall direction for the contractor’s quality, safety and environmental programs; partners with the DPG WDTC Safety Office, WDTC Directorates, and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) to ensure cohesiveness with WDTC quality and safety approach; detailed knowledge of desert environment and associated CBRNE test site hazards.Duties and Responsibilities * Coordinating with the DPG Safety Office and TRAX Managers.* Investigating mishaps/accidents when required.* Developing a broad safety education program through use of programs, bulletins, posters, lectures, and films.* Coordinating safety indoctrination training for all new employees.* Coordinating with supervisory personnel to develop safety documentation covering specific work areas or tasks.* Incorporating special safety requirements to ensure safety when performing special or unusual tasks.* Preparing and distributing of all necessary reports for accidents/incidents that involve personnel, vehicles, government equipment, or Government facilities.* Ensures environmental compliance.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications* Must have a Baccalaureate with at least five (5) years of experience as a Quality Manager on a Government contract; or equivalent years of experience with direct government or contractor supporting government contracts. * Must have experience in government contracts to include general contract quality management experience in safety, training and property management and general contract quality management. * Must be proficient in using MS® Project or similar project management software.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions * The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment and sometimes in the field where you are subject to the environment.* Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.* Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time.* Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted.* Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.* Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the duties and responsibilities.Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements* Must be a U.S. Citizen.* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.* Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests. * Must be able to successfully complete a background check. * Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.The above are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel in this position.
