Inventory Supervisor - 2nd Shift 2-11pm

About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for an Inventory Supervisor to join our team in Duluth, GA. The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for oversight of inventory and cycle counts, ensuring that the materials match the reported inventory. Also responsible for supervising and training Warehouse Associates in the inventory group, maintaining inventory accuracy by processing material reports and transfers, and helping others locate materials. This shift is for 2-11pm, Monday through Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and trains warehouse inventory control employees

  • Oversees cycle count process

  • Maintains cycle count records for review by management

  • Informs proper personnel of material shortages

  • Identifies and researches inventory discrepancies

  • Submits reports to management related to cycle count activity

  • Updates transactions in SAP

  • Oversees proper maintenance of all physical storage spaces

  • Creates new locations for new parts

  • Ensures proper rotation of first-in first-out (FIFO) items; scrap pull and removes items physically and systematically

  • Prepares reports such as inventory balances, weekly cycle counts, and production breakdowns

  • Maintains shrink at or below company standard

  • Reconciles weekly parts received schedule. Notifies Purchasing to follow up on late parts

  • Monitors inventory rotations and makes recommendations as needed

  • Identify and lead inventory accuracy improvement projects

  • Completes root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies and identifies improvement

  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Education:

High School or GED preferred

Knowledge / training:

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent organization and administrative skills

  • Customer service skills

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong computer skills

  • Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts

  • Detail oriented and the ability to multitask

  • Knowledge of warehouse operation systems such as SAP or similar

  • Knowledge of LTL and dedicated services

Experience:

  • 3+ years warehouse inventory and supervisory experience in a warehouse environment required
