OverviewWe are seeking a full-time Aviation Planner 2 - Vendor-Managed Inventory in our Duluth, MN location. In this role, you will be responsible for performing semi-complex supply chain management relating to materials planning, purchasing, and manufacturing and provides input in the development of planning procedures.Essential FunctionsFull use and understanding of supply chain, systems, and processes used by areaUnderstands/owns accountability for department KPI'sEvaluates data for decision-making purposes/makes recommendations and commands supply chain processes defined in assigned area of responsibilityRecognizes issues, explores solutions, and provides timely responsesActively contributes to discussions in team initiative toward goal resolution, provides guidance to Planner 1 associates, and plans own daily workload with ability to identify prioritiesResponsible for all planning disciplines (New Product Introduction, Demand, Global Supply Chain, Production Planning, Repair/Service Planning, and Vendor-Managed Inventory) across aviation items produced at Garmin manufacturing sites and stored at Garmin distribution locationsBasic QualificationsBachelor's Degree AND a minimum of 2 years relevant experienceDemonstrates all the competencies of Planner 1Understands/implements best practices and has a solid understanding of warehouse, manufacturing, and service processesDemonstrated strong/effective/professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to communicate with cross functional teams/customersIntermediate applicable MS Office skillsDesired QualificationsPrevious experience in a manufacturing or distribution environmentCertified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)5 years experience in material management, production planning, purchasing or distribution preferably in electronics manufacturingPrevious project management or team facilitator experienceGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
