Job Summary

Cirrus is seeking an Equipment & Furnishings Supervisor to lead the Seats and Interiors team alongside the Equipment & Furnishings Manager. This role involves overseeing and coordinating the team through the design, integration, testing, and certification of seats and interiors across all Cirrus platforms, including the SR and SF series. In addition, they will develop, refine, and implement standards and processes for the seats and interiors team. A supervisor in this role will have 5-12 individual contributor direct reports of varying experience and will report to the Manager of Equipment & Furnishings.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Lead a subset of the Seats and Interiors team. Responsible for their development, mentorship, support, responsibilities, and performance reviews.

  • Technical expert in seats and interiors, both performing project work and guiding their team, through expertise in interior development, seating systems, flammability, ergonomics, CAD, Design for Manufacturability, and aircraft certification.

  • Create and review engineering data in PTC Creo, PTC Windchill PDM, and Atlassian JIRA.

  • Create and review certification documents for flammability, static and dynamic seat testing, compliance, and Human Factors.

  • Develop, refine, and implement requirement, specification, and standardization documents.

  • Collaborate and coordinate with industrial designers to develop and implement visual brand language and aesthetics into effective engineering designs.

  • 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other relevant technical discipline

  • 6 years of experience required, prefer relevant experience in seating, interior development, and materials within the aerospace or automotive industry.

  • 0-4 years leadership experience

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

  • Effective and compassionate interpersonal skills.

  • Experience and drive to create standards and improve processes

  • Passion for building and developing a cohesive and responsive team through mentorship and support.
