Cirrus Aircraft Learning & Leadership Development Specialist Lead in Duluth, Minnesota

Job Summary

The Lead Learning & Leadership Development Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company’s learning and leadership development strategies, programs, and practices. This role drives a culture of continuous learning and leadership growth by leveraging the 70/20/10 model and aligning initiatives to meet organizational goals. Key responsibilities include oversight of the Leadership Academy, high-potential talent development, coaching and feedback frameworks, mentorship programs, and assessment strategies to measure impact and effectiveness. This role reports directly to the Executive Director of Talent Management and collaborates closely with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders across the company.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Learning Strategy & Program Development:

  • Develop and deploy a comprehensive learning strategy grounded in the 70/20/10 learning model that promotes a learning culture, activates accelerated and differentiated development of high potential talent and drives effective Individual Development Planning tools for all employees across the company.

  • Design and deliver leadership development programs and solutions that build a robust leadership pipeline at Cirrus, equipping current and future leaders with the skills and capabilities needed to drive organizational success.

  • Provide strategic leadership of the Cirrus Leadership Academy, partnering with the functional/technical learning leads (Operations, Customer Experience, Product Development, Flight Standards) to ensure alignment with the company’s goals and leadership behaviors.

  • Implement best-in-class delivery mechanisms, using digital platforms, self-paced learning, and instructor-led training to reach employees at all levels.

  • Stay current on trends and best practices in learning and leadership development, ensuring strategy and programs remain innovative, effective and future-focused.

Mentorship, Coaching & Feedback:

  • Develop and implement coaching and feedback frameworks to enhance leadership effectiveness, promote a culture of accountability and drive continuous improvement and growth mindsets.

  • Provide tools, training, and support for employees and leaders to give meaningful, two-way transparent feedback and foster employee development.

  • Enable and promote a mentorship program that is aligned with career development goals and business needs.

Assessment & Measurement:

  • Create and implement an assessment strategy that leverages tools and instruments that deliver actionable insights for enhancing self-awareness, identify development opportunities, and support personalized growth plans for leaders at all levels.

  • Use assessment tools to identify skills gaps and develop targeted learning solutions.

  • Track, analyze, and report metrics to demonstrate ROI, activation of Cirrus’s talent philosophy and leadership behaviors, and effectiveness of leadership development programs.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Partner with senior leaders to identify current and future learning needs aligned with business priorities.

  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure learning programs meet functional and team-specific needs.

  • Act as a consultant and coach to leadership on learning and development strategies.

Qualifications

To perform

  • Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • 7-10 years of experience in talent management and/or learning and development, with expertise in designing and delivering leadership development programs.

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with the 70/20/10 learning model and its application in strategy development.

  • Strong expertise in leadership development, talent management, and mentorship and coaching program design.

  • Proficient in learning technologies, assessment tools, and measuring program effectiveness and ROI.

  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights and drive continuous improvement.

  • Highly collaborative with the ability to build trusted relationships across functions and all levels of leadership.

  • Agile, adaptable, and innovative, with a passion for talent development and creating impactful learning experiences.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
