Group Summary

Job Summary
Plans and supports supplier quality activities in house and at supplier by creating initial containment for any quality deviations on supplier components. Responsible for executing incoming inspection sampling process. Uses problem solving tools to support engineers in determining root cause analysis and provide solutions and suggestions.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Decisions involve moderate risk to the organization although results may have a long-lasting impact.
Plans and supports supplier quality activities in house. Sporadically may support off site activities at suppliers locally.
Responsible to do initial containment (or sampling) for any quality deviations on supplier components, and coordinate with supplier delivery of certified material.
Responsible for validating containment effectiveness.
Responsible to properly declare material rejected in system and communicating to organization to avoid any production disruption.
Assists internal and external contacts to support investigation and resolution for product related problems using formal problem-solving tools.
Reviews performance in supplier operation and provides suggestions for improvement
Requirements
High School Diploma
3 Years manufacturing experience (automotive preferred)
2 Years Current or prior quality experience beneficial
Good interpersonal skills
Able to work in a team environment and independently, if required
Demonstrated ability to problem solve
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time.
Must maintain proper vision requirements
Must be able to maintain alertness to their surroundings.
