Dunkirk, Career Systems Development. Youth Navigator/Career Specialist. FT. M-F. 1st shift.

Description: Responsible for providing vocational and training services to transition youth and adults that are unemployed, underemployed, displaced, disabled, and/or economically disadvantaged populations through an array of activities to reach self-sufficiency Performs participant assessment, development of service strategy, employment counseling, and post-employment follow-up services based on WIOA Federal, State, and Local policies Orients new participants to specific program benefits, rules, regulations, and policies Interviews and assesses individuals for job readiness, barriers to employment, and individual needs, to include skills upgrade and/or training Responsible for the recruitment of eligible participants, including, but not limited to, outreach to schools, agencies, community organizations and employers as appropriate to the rules of the funding sources Creates and implements service strategy plan to provide work experience, vocational skills, on-the-job training, and other training related programs to individuals Assists participants with goals of securing competitive employment, entering the military or post-secondary education Serves as a liaison between jobseekers and employers through referrals and business services Responsible to work with various agencies, schools, and staff to provide 14 required elements to youth/youth adults per WIOA regulations Ability to implement and market the Youth WIOA work experience program Responsible to collect and coordinate reporting on educational and employment outcomes, meet goals, and share general information regarding the program Responsible for follow-up efforts Responsible for case management and timely and accurate data entry Meets with participants regularly to monitor progress and offer support and guidance Willingness/ability to conduct workshops Performs all other duties as assigned Full-Time First Shift Monday through Friday Health Insurance benefits (medical, dental, and vision) PTO accrual beginning on Day 1 Paid holidays 401K Requirements: Bachelor's Degree A comprehensive understanding of the world of work and the needs of young adults/adults with barriers to employment Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent organizational skills and computer proficiency including the use of Microsoft Office Suite Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Valid NYS Driver's License and personal vehicle required $17.50-$18.67/hour apply via indeed https://www.indeed.com/jobs?q=&l=Dunkirk%2C+NY&radius=35&fromage=1&vjk=09742078488e1a49
