Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Information Systems Engineer I (Desktop Engineering) in Durant, Oklahoma
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Assists in administration of computer and storage systems and recommends improvements necessary to ensure operations of Choctaw Nation systems. You will report to the Information Systems Manager.
Primary Tasks:
You will support endpoint administration and troubleshooting using SCCM and Intune in multiple environments.
Provide direct technical support for the planning, design, and implementation of releases, upgrades, or changes to the desktop environment and the range of product and productivity tools that support the testing and production use of those systems.
Ensure and monitor health and compliance of the desktop environment.
Apply company procedures to resolve routine issues.
You will support packaging applications for deployment with SCCM and Intune.
Analyze situational data to resolve issues or follow escalation chain.
Communicate with other IT teams to resolve customer issues.
Assure system security.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Associate's degree in computer science or related field or relevant IT certification or 2 years related experience.
Customer service skills
Perform complex tasks.
Experience with desktop and server operating systems, including Windows 7/10 and Server 2012/2016/2019.
Experience with PowerShell, VBScript, and batch scripting languages
Must be comfortable working in an accountable and deadline-oriented environment and maintain flexible working hours
Two years experience supporting IT systems in a virtual environment
