Robert Half Financial Analyst II in Durham, Maryland

Description

Financial Analysts in this role will primarily conduct quantitative analyses of information impacting investment programs of public or private institutions. The typical responsibilities include analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble spreadsheets and create charts and graphs to illustrate technical reports.

  • Analyze financial data to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in investment decisions.

  • Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price yield stability and future trends in investment risks.

    Requirements

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and critical thinking.

  • Basic ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Proficiency in analyzing business trends and projecting future revenues and expenses.

  • Basic knowledge of economic and accounting principles, financial markets, and financial data reporting.

  • Familiarity with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting.

  • Previous experience with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant financial software.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related financial discipline required.

  • An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.

  • 2-4 years of financial and/or accounting experience required.
