Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Durham, North Carolina

Description

Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Durham, North Carolina. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of our financial reporting and oversight by supervising the daily operations of the Accounting Department. You will be expected to manage a variety of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Costing, and Fixed Assets, while ensuring that all Internal Controls are adhered to. The ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years of supervisory experience and 5+ years in corporate accounting. Manufacturing experience is required, and an active CPA is preferred. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounting team which includes accounts payable, expense reporting, fixed assets, and inventory reporting functions.

• Assist with financial audits.

• Work with the CFO on budgets and forecasting.

• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes

• Account reconciliations and complete financial statements

• Oversee the functions of Accounts Payable, Costing, General Ledger and Fixed Assets.

• Internal Controls

• Oversee the work and performance of the accounting team

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience, and several in an accounting managerial or supervisory role.

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.

• Proficient in auditing procedures.

• Ability to manage Month End Close operations effectively.

• Capable of preparing Financial Statements.

• Familiarity with managing General Ledger is essential.

• Must be able to carry out Monthly Bank Reconciliation.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.

• Knowledge of Fixed Asset Depreciation is essential.

• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting is necessary.

• Must hold a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification.

• Proficiency in Standard Cost Accounting is required.
