Minimum Qualifications• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution preferably with a focus in an Accounting or Business-related field• Five years of experience in Accounting or Finance, inclusive of three years of Accounts Payable experience• Two years of supervisory experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities• Broad experience within Accounts Payable• Supervisory experience• Knowledge of GAAP and ability to apply accounting theories• Knowledge of multi-state sales & use tax and ability to apply tax policies• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel• ERP, expense reporting and other business software experience• Accounts Payable processing within an integrated ERP system, including three-way match• Experience in documenting processes including detailed work procedures and process flows• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to apply solutions and utilize resources• Exercises good judgement with the ability to balance compliance requirements and business needs• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Ability to prioritize and organize work independently and in a team

Supervisory Responsibilities• Manages the Accounts Payable team

Essential Functions• Manages the accounts payable team, supervises and reviews the work performed and analyzes staffing requirements• Maintains the accounts payable module within the ERP system, analyzes its effectiveness and recommends improvements• Reviews expenditures and payments for proper authorizations and coding• Administrates and performs accounting transactions for the employee expense and credit card reporting system• Ensures compliance to GAAP and sales and use tax regulations• Establishes and ensures adherence to Accounts Payable policies• Prepares journal entries, performs accruals, and manages AP ledger accounts• Performs account reconciliations for all assigned accounts• Evaluates all uncashed checks and open payables for unclaimed property filings• Monitors and documents all Accounts Payable processes and recommends efficiencies and improvements• Administers, reviews, and approves all disbursements• Completes 1099 and other related tax forms• Ensures vendor credit applications are reviewed and completed correctly; supplier information is set-up correctly• Responds to information requests from auditors and other parties• Designs, evaluates, and implements procedures and processes while assessing the need for systematic enhancements in order to increase efficiency• Reviews and performs positive pay transactions

Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, toolsor controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work in front of screens for extended periods.

Work EnvironmentFor the most part, the work environment includes ambient room temperatures, well-lit work areas and traditional office equipment as found in atypical office environment. Office environment with shared spaces.
