Position Summary

We are seeking a Contract Manager for our office in Pittsburgh, PA who will provide guidance and support to our Water Solutions and Services business in the preparation, review, and negotiation of bids and contracts. The candidate will work on complex projects and contracts in support of the business and will be required to exercise a high level of critical thinking and business judgment. The role requires an understanding of business strategy, legal issues, and financial implications.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Provides support and guidance to the Integrated Solutions and Services business in the review of contract documents, bids, and proposals.

  • Work closely with management, sales teams, project management teams, and engineering teams to review, revise, and negotiate proposals and contract documents.

  • Exercise independent business judgment to counsel the business on commercial terms and contracting strategies.

  • Negotiate directly with customers on matters ranging from sale of standard products to multi-million dollar projects.

  • Develop and administer processes for bid submission, response to solicitations, and contract approval.

  • Assist as a part of a cross-functional team with preparation and compilation of proposals and bids.

  • Organize and maintain records with respect to proposals, executed contracts, and contract approvals.

  • Provide training to sales teams, project management teams, and engineering teams.

Position Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in a contract management and negotiation role within a corporate setting.

  • Experience exercising autonomous business judgment in a corporate setting.

  • High level of attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience working as part of a cross-functional team.

  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Although not required, a legal background (JD) or technical/engineering background is preferred.

Additional Details

  • TARGET SALARY 70,000-85,000

Salary range:

$62,000.00 - $99,000.00
