Hiring Range: $71,624 - $111,014
Work Day/Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

This position is to assist the Senior Cyber Security analyst in the daily management of the City's cyber security program. The Cyber Security Analyst will assist the Senior Cyber Security Analyst in conducting security assessments of systems to identify vulnerabilities, providing recommendations for their remediation, and assisting system owners in implementing effective safeguards. The Cyber Security Analyst will assist the Senior Cyber Security Analyst in validating that controls are risk rated and risk statements are clearly stated and capture the specific business impact to the judiciary in the event that a deficiency is exploited.
An employee in this role is eligible for teleworking. Some assignments may require on-site work requiring travel to different City buildings and/or locations.

Duties/Responsibilities
Working with the Technology Solutions staff and the Senior Cyber Security Analyst with the following:
Performing system hardening to prevent unauthorized access
Monitoring the City's systems and end user activities from an information security perspective
Providing End user Security Awareness Training to employees
Correlating and analyzing logs to detect potential information security breaches, and perform other activities needed to support the threat intelligence program.
Generating Cyber Security reports
Resolving Cyber Security Tickets and issues in a timely manner
Utilizing security tools for the resolution of end users' issues
Providing innovative ideas to improve the Cyber Security program
Creating and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures and other Cyber Security documents
Roll out of Cyber Security tools/projects
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a directly related field
Five years of professional information technology experience in area of assignment.
