The Day-to-Day:
Drive continuous improvement in the Wolfspeed “Protect the Pack” culture and long term strategy.
Work with internal business partners to obtain required information to write, submit, and maintain air permits for NC facilities, including developing emissions inventories and performing air modeling as necessary.
Work with internal business partners to obtain required information to generate annual EPA Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reports.
Maintain compliance of Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) program.
Maintain site level procedures, forms, and documents in accordance with regulatory requirements and Wolfspeed Global Standards.
Evaluate Management of Change (MOC) requests to add or change equipment, including chemical usage, in relation to air permit requirements.
Prepare reports for management and regulatory reports.
Use EHS software to help identify risk and near misses, managing incidents from start to finish and identify their root causes so corrective action plans can prevent reoccurrence.
Work with EHS team members to support ISO 14001/45001 and Sustainability program.
Participates in 5S factory walkthroughs to identify and correct EHS issues.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
4-year degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science or equivalent
1-5 years of experience performing environmental work in an industrial setting including developing emissions inventories, performing air modeling, and/or working with abatement systems.
Ability to effectively interpret federal and state environmental regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft applications including Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Must be able to complete company provided RCRA and DOT training within 45-days of hire.
Ability to lift up to 20lbs and walk for prolonged periods of time
