Robert Half Facilities Assistant in Durham, North Carolina

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Facilities Assistant in Durham, North Carolina. The role involves maintaining an organized and safe workplace and ensuring the efficient management of our facilities. As a Facilities Assistant, you will play a key role in coordinating and overseeing repairs, managing relationships with external vendors, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the organization and coordination of repairs, maintenance, and management of the building to ensure a safe and functional workspace.

• Foster and manage relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality services such as cleaning, landscaping, and security.

• Implement and uphold safety regulations, conduct regular inspections, and plan for emergencies to ensure a safe work environment.

• Manage office space effectively, coordinating moves and changes as needed.

• Oversee inventory management, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.

• Implement and oversee security measures, responding to incidents promptly and effectively.

• Manage the facilities budget, identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.

• Serve as a point of contact for facility-related issues, coordinating with various departments as needed.

• Utilize skills in Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Outlook, and Management System to manage tasks and communicate effectively.

• Apply knowledge in Construction and Customer Service for efficient facilities management. Requirements • Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

• Familiarity with various management systems

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook

• Prior experience with time tracking software such as 'About Time'

• Experience in handling conference rooms for meetings and events

• Basic knowledge of construction and building maintenance

• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with various stakeholders

• Ability to manage and maintain documentation related to facility maintenance and operations.
